Hi, I am Dr. Li, a licensed clinical psychologist, the founder and director of our clinic: Ray Psychology. Thank you for visiting our website, and hopefully you find our information helpful in making a decision for your care.

I specialize in helping adults and couples to navigate personal and professional challenges. As a first-generation immigrant and first-generation college student, I understand the perseverance and tenacity it takes to thrive or even just to survive in the Bay Area. I relate to your struggles of feeling confident/belonged, making impacts, juggling work/life demands, finding love, maintaining healthy relationships, drawing healthy boundary with family members, and resolving childhood traumas. I am one of the few Asian American and Chinese speaking AASECT Certified Sex Therapist across the US.

I look forward to speaking with you about how my expertise might be helpful for your personal and professional growth!

Warmly,

Dr. Li

My Becoming

Becoming a psychologist was not a light choice (trust me, psychologist is not on the approved list of "desirable careers" in my family), but a choice guided by my values, passion, and journey of self-development. My own childhood adversities and economic hardship have trained me to be resilient, conscientious, and most importantly, intuitive to my clients’ needs. I intentionally chose to pursue a degree in Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) to focus on honing my skill in providing evidence-based treatments that are based on the most updated research.

Over the past decade, I have successfully worked with diverse brilliant minds including executives, engineers, researchers, scientists, entrepreneurs, medical professionals, small business owners from organizations such as Google, Facebook, Genetech, Tesla, LinkedIn, Uber, and a variety of start-ups. I have also worked closely with college students from Stanford, UC Berkeley, Princeton, as well as many challenging local high schools.

I currently serve as an Adjunct Faculty at the Wright Institute Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Clinic, providing supervision for clinicians in training.
