In addition to your session time, our fee covers time spent in between appointments on various supplemental tasks such as: phone calls, research for other resources you may need, reviewing your progress, preparing needed paperwork, and most importantly, considering how to best help you. Your session fee also make it possible for us to provide mental health care for low-income patients that would not have access to therapy otherwise. Thank you.

Lyra Health Employee Assistance Program
We are proud to be part of Lyra Health network. Through Lyra Health, we have extensive experience working with employees from Google, Meta, Apple, and many other companies. Please contact your sponsoring company's HR/Benefits department to confirm your eligibility for Lyra benefits, including psychotherapy and psychiatry medication management services, as well as the number of sessions covered. After your session, we will bill Lyra Health directly. You may have a copay or cost share through your health plan. If you're unsure about your expected costs or whether your sessions will be fully covered, please reach out to the Lyra team directly.

Additionally, please note our 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule within this timeframe, you will be charged the full session fee to the credit card on file, unless your company benefit covers this cost for you.

Lyra Health Extended Care Coverage
Some employers partnered with Lyra have expanded the Lyra benefit, allowing clients to access care through a qualifying health plan in addition to the free EAP sessions their employer may provide.

Other Insurance Coverages
We are currently not in-network with any other insurance company. We consciously choose to not work with any insurance company to protect and ensure the high quality treatment we are committed to provide to our clients. Insurance companies, because of the details and practices of managed care, often attempt to interfere a number of important components of treatment including, but not limited to, the disclosure of your diagnosis, the duration of session, and the types of services you are able to receive. Insurance companies can also deny claims of certain diagnosis. With that said, most insurance companies do provide reimbursement for therapy even if we are out-of-network with them. Most of our clients with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, or other companies have successfully been reimbursed in the past. Reimbursement rate ranges from 50-80% depending on your specific plan. Please consult with your insurance company about your specific coverage for mental health services.
Cancellation and Late Arrivals
Please notify your therapist of any need to cancel or reschedule your appointment 24 hours in advance. You will be responsible for the entire fee if cancellation is less than 24 hours.

Our schedule is set in such a way that we cannot unexpectedly offer extended sessions. Thus, if you arrive late, we will still end the session at the scheduled time and you will be charged the regular fee.

Good Faith Estimate Information
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
-
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
-
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
-
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
-
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
What To Expect
Initial Phone Consultation
We understand that it is not easy to connect with a provider that truly understands your concerns. We offer a free, no-obligation, 15-min phone consultation to answer all your questions and help you figure out if we are the right professional to best meet your needs at this time. If, during the consultation, we decided that we are not a good fit for you, we will provide you with trusted referrals so you don't have to do the search all over again.

The First Appointment
In our first meeting, we will spend 45 minutes together to delve deeper into your current struggles, including your symptom history, current coping, factors that contribute and maintain your current symptoms, and other information needed for treatment planning. We will also use this opportunity to get to know each other and discuss future treatment options.

Follow Up Appointments
Consistency is the key of forming any new change. If we decide to work together, we will choose a consistent time to meet each week. Therapy sessions are generally scheduled weekly and typically last 45 minutes.

How Long Should I Be in Therapy?
Often, short term therapy is appropriate for situational problems such as stress management, conflicts at work, communication, relationship issues, or parenting. On the other hand, if the problems are deep rooted in childhood trauma/neglect or unhealthy family dynamic, recurrent depression, chronic anxiety, or recurrent unhealthy relationship patterns, long term therapy will usually be more beneficial. We will discuss the treatment options during our first meeting.
